Follow our aftercare guide to help your skin heal properly and get the best results from your laser treatment. Protect, soothe, and let your skin reveal its brighter, even-toned glow

Day 1


  • Keep the treated area clean

  • Avoid HOT showers / Heat on the treated area

  • Use Ice/icepack on the treated area

What to expect

  • Redness, tender, irritation, and itchiness are common. Some slight bruising can happen

  • For freckles: They may appear darker - this is normal.

Day 2 - 3


  • Clean the area with a gentle cleanser AM & PM. Cleanse in gentle swipes, do not scrub

  • Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel

  • Apply a very thin layer of cicaplast gel/ aquaphor after washing area to hydrate, not suffocate

  • SPF 50 (preferably mineral) daily, even on gloomy days. Re-applicatoin every 2-3 hours.

What to expect

  • Continued sensitivity and possible flaking.

  • Freckles often turn darker or peppery before flaking off. DO NOT PICK OR RUB OFF.

Day 4 - 7


  • Discontinue wiping when flaking begins! This will disturb the healing process and pull out the pigment.

  • Skin may feel dry, can apply light unscented moisturizer

What to expect

  • Freckles may start to flake or peel.

  • The color will begin to lighten as the skin heals.

  • Temporary Skin Darkening or Lightening: Some pigmentation may appear darker before it begins to fade, which is a normal part of the healing process.

  • Freckles/Sunspot: skin can appear pink / white once the scabs have fallen off. This is normal.

Important!


  • No sweating or exercise for 48 hrs

  • STAY HYDRATED AND HEALTHY

  • Avoid any skincare with actives/acids for at least 1 week

  • Do not pick or scratch the treated area

  • No sauna, swimming or exposure to steam for 1 week

  • Limit long hot showers use cooler or tepid temperatures. Heat can worsen redness and trap inflammation

  • AVOID sun exposure / sun tanning for atleast 1 week and wear SPF 50+ everyday with reapplication every 2 hours for the next 12 weeks even when its CLOUDY. Sun exposure is the #1 cause of post-laser pigmentation.

  • No make-up of any kind should be worn until the area is fully healed. (48-72 hours)

  • Sleep on your back until flaking is complete.

  • Wash face with gentle unscented cleanser with no active acids

  • Book your next session after 6-8 weeks!

  • If blistering happens, do not pick/burst them. Cover area with gauze

  • Can slowly resume actives like vitamin c or actives after 7-14 days. Start using azaleic acid or tranexamic acid for maintenance to help pigmentation.

  • No chemical peels or microneedling for at least 3-4 weeks

  • For freckles/sunpots, skin tone will even out over the next 6-10 weeks, some even 12 once the scabs have fallen off.
